MY FAVORITE THINGS

There are some products out there that once we start using it we can’t believe how we’ve lived without it before. Here are the organizing products that have changed my life in the past few years (ok, maybe not so much, but I highly recommend all of them!):

1-      Drawer Dividers: Keep your socks, stockings, underwear, ties and scarves neat and organized. You can also use at a Kitchen drawer with tools and small gadgets. For me it was very helpful as I never overload my divisions. If it’s already full I never add anything in unless I take something out. Even if there is a huge Victoria Secret’s semi-annual sale going on…

2-      Dry-erase Wall Calendar: I’ve already mentioned this product here and I cannot get enough of it. It’s the perfect tool to keep one organized with activities throughout the month. For the summer it’s incredible as there is so much going on in the city and I don’t want to miss anything; If I hear about a band that I like playing at the Hudson River Park on July, 23^rd, it goes straight to my calendar.

3-      Magazine Files: I subscribe to several magazines and some of them I want to keep for a long time. This is how I organize them and keep the shelves looking clean. I label all the files so I know what’s going on in there, if I have different magazines in one file, I label by the style – events, decoration, everyday… But don’t forget, if you don’t need to keep the full magazine cluttering your place, just tear out the pages that are important to you.

4-      Storage Ottoman: Living in a small apartment in Manhattan, this piece of furniture saved my life. I store my crafts supplies in two ottomans that I got last year; they can be used as seats and also as coffee tables. It all depends on what’s going on at my place.  BTW, did I mention they look very pretty in my living room?
